Essential Functions:

  • Clean guest rooms and suites
  • May help clean public spaces when required
  • Stock and sort supplies
  • Remove garbage and recycling
  • Vacuum, clean, dust and polish guest bedrooms and bathrooms to the required standards
  • Make beds, change sheets, remove and replace used towels and toiletries
  • Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
  • Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. dust high & low spots, steam clean carpets) as required
  • Report damaged or faulty items
  • Handle lost & found items
  • Laundry assistance as required

Specific Knowledge , Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English
  • Must be able to stand, walk and crouch for long periods of time
  • Must be able to communicate well with both internal and external guests
  • Must have attention to detail
  • Must work well with minimal supervision
  • Must also be able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.

Education and/or Experience

  • Customer service experience is an asset
  • Housekeeping experience is an asset

Some of the job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Respond to all maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Respond or perform duties of a groundskeeper
  • Complete work order requests in a timely manner
  • Maintain all mechanical areas in an orderly and clean condition
  • Inspect public areas daily for any issues
  • Providing maintenance repairs to guestrooms, public areas and administrative offices
  • Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs

Requirements:

  • Must work well without constant supervision.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of all hotel issues, how they can be prevented and how to repair them.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements is also a must.
  • Must also be able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, crouch, and crawl over extensive time periods.
  • WHMIS and First Aid are required.
  • Minimum high school diploma is required
  • Tickets and other certifications are an asset.

  • Provides accurate OTA and third party billing summaries to GSM at Month end.
  • Other duties as assigned such as acting as a Guest Service Agent or Night Auditor as required.

Requirements:

  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers
  • High level of accuracy in detailed work

Requirements:

•    Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.

•    Must have attention to detail
•    Must be able to lift heavy objects; be on your feet for extended periods of time, able to crouch,   bend, walk,   run, and use arms without any discomfort.
•    Must have minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
•    Post- secondary education in a Hotel management discipline is an asset.
•    Previous hotel housekeeping experience is required.
•    Supervisor experience is an asset.

  • Familiarization in the use of a calculator to prepare calculations without error.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using Property Management System.

  • Must have 1-2 years of Front Desk experience.
