Banquet Manager - Acclaim Hotel Calgary Airport

 

Position: Banquet Manager

Position Summary

*  Manage all operations within the Banquet Department to ensure that all events are executed precisely and creatively as per the requirements of the guest

*  Ensure we are always exceeding our customer’s expectations and providing an unmatched guest experience

*  Balance department’s financial budgets & targets

*  Provide leadership to all employees by guiding, organizing & motivating team

 

Job Requirements

The ideal candidates will possess the following:

*  Previous hotel and sales experience is required

*  Post secondary education in Business or Hospitality Management

*  2 years management experience

*  3+ years experience in conference/event/banquet service

*  Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail

*  Team player whom is energetic, a natural problem solver, works well under pressure and has a flexible schedule

*  Strong communication skills; both written & oral

*  Reliable mode of transportation

 

Acclaim Hotel - Room Attendant

Room Attendant Responsibilities will include:

* Stocking and sorting supplies for cart

* Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests

* Make beds, change sheets, replenishing of towels, cleaning mirrors, counters and all surfaces

* Dust vacuum, clean bathrooms, clean floors

* Laundry duties as required

* Report damaged or faulty items

* Handle lost & found items

 

Qualified Candidates will possess the following:

* Flexible schedule

* Customer Service driven

* Housekeeping experience

* Ability to communicate and understand English

* Reliable mode of transportation 

 

We are hiring for 8.5 hour shifts 5 days/week including weekends.

 

Uniforms will be provided and Benefits will be available after 6 months of continuous work.

Housekeeping Room Attendants

Specific Skills: Register arriving guests and assign rooms, Process group arrivals and departures, Take, cancel and change room reservations, Process telephone calls, Provide information on hotel facilities and services, Provide general information about points of interest in the area, Provide information about services available in the community, Arrange services required for guests with special needs, Secure guests' valuables, Process wake-up calls, Store and retrieve luggage, Investigate and resolve complaints and claims, Exchange foreign currency, Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments, Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms, Customer service oriented, Follow emergency and safety procedures, Work with minimal supervision, Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying)
