Acclaim Hotel - Housekeeping

As a housekeeper, you will be responsible for stocking and sorting supplies, removing garbage and recycling, cleaning duties, and any other assistance as required.

This is a Full Time Position

You will be required to work weekends as well as two or three other shifts per week. All shifts are daytime shifts ranging from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM.

About the Position:

· $12.50/hour starting wage. Wage reviews occur at the 3 month probationary period as well as annually.

Pacini Ristorante- Bartender

Description of responsibilities:

•           Take customer orders and expedites the service of food and drinks.

•           Know the food menu and have some knowledge of the wine menu and cocktail offerings with the expectation of suggesting menu items appropriately.

•           Provide warm, quick, efficient and friendly service

•           Be customer service oriented for both internal and external guests

•           Be reliable by showing up for shifts, completing work that is assigned during the shift, and staying for the duration of the shift

•           Communicate with supervisors and management for desired training and personal development

•           Serves guests quickly, efficiently and with complete knowledge of food and beverage menus.

•           Offers superior customer service and maintains station in a clean and orderly manner throughout shift.

•           Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager

Essential Functions

•           Warmly greets and acknowledges guests upon arrival.

•           Makes drinks for Servers when ordered

•           Effectively merchandises food and beverage menus in an informative, friendly and enthusiastic manner.

•           Cleans, stocks, and maintains the bar throughout shift.

•           Follows all safety and sanitation policies.

•           Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time.

Other Experience/Skills Required

•       Possesses strong oral and written communication skills

•       Passionate and knowledgeable in Italian cuisine and wine

•       Have at least 6 months prior experience serving in a full service establishment

•       Fair customer service background

•       Experience with dealing with cash and other payment options

•       Ability to lift at least 25 lbs to shoulder level

Pacini Ristorante - Host/Hostess

This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is:

The hourly wage for this position will start at $11.00/hour

Housekeeping Room Attendants

Pacini Ristorante - Server

Other Experience/Skills Required

· Possesses strong oral and written communication skills

· Passionate and knowledgeable in Italian cuisine and wine

· Ability to lift at least 25 lbs to shoulder level

Acclaim Hotel - Event Porter

The Event Porter is a key contributor to the overall success of all functions booked. The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of food production and service, audio visual aids and troubleshooting, meeting room set up standards, and has the ability to perform all positions in event operations. Some of these abilities include:

· Able to read, understand and execute an Event Order for pre event setups, food service and breakdown, addressing guest concerns, and tear down of events

· Is able to maintain a clean work environment to reflect food service standards

· Is able to lift at least 50 lbs on a regular basis

· Maintenance and regular upkeep of all meeting spaces including reporting of any major concerns to the maintenance department for follow up

· Oversee all meetings including initial and regular contact with convenor, adjustment and changes of any requirements before the start of the meeting

· Minor meeting room and equipment repairs as needed

· Other tasks as assigned by the Event Manager

Experience:

· 1-2 years experience as a server (banquet experience preferred)

Education:

· No formal education is required

Hours:

· This is a part time position that has the opportunity to grow into a full time position in the future

· Evenings, and weekends will be required

Acclaim Hotel - Laundry Attendant

Laundry attendants are responsible for collecting and washing used bed linen, towels and table linen. They also do the ironing, folding and the distribution to its designated destination.

Full time – five days including weekend work

Hours are 8.00 am – 4.00pm

· Full Time Day position requiring shifts during the week and over the weekend.

Acclaim Hotel - Housekeeping Supervisor

Purpose

· To assist in supervising and overseeing the performance of the housekeeping department.

· To assume the responsibilities of the housekeeping department in the absence of the Housekeeper Manager.

Essential Functions

· Prepare daily room assignments and key distribution to room attendants.

· Oversee laundry operations.

· Daily room inspections.

· Distribute guest room supplies to room attendants and housemen.

· Communicate with Front Desk with status of rooms, checkouts and stay-overs.

· Input guestroom information into computer system.

· Assist with cleaning rooms as needed.

· Assist with scheduling and payroll.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English

· Must be able to communicate well with both internal and external guests

· Must have attention to detail

· Must be able to lift heavy objects; be on your feet for extended periods of time, able to crouch, bend, walk, run, and use arms without any discomfort.

Education and/or Experience

· Must have minimum high school diploma or equivalent.

· Post secondary education in a Hotel management discipline is an asset.

· Previous hotel housekeeping experience is required.

· Supervisor experience is an asset.

Other

· Open availability will be required as you will be required to work both week days & weekends.

· Wage of $14.00 per hour to start is provided
