Olympic Distance: Swim 1500m – Bike 40km – Run 10km
Sprint Distance: Swim 500m – Bike 20km – Run 5km
Offering a first class event staged in a pristine lake framed by the spectacular Rocky Mountains. The bike course is set along the incredibly scenic Three Sister’s Parkway leading competitors to the Canmore Nordic Centre for a paved forest lined run with an Olympic stadium finish.
24 Hours of Adrenalin is the fastest growing mountain bike event series in North America, and it comes to Canmore as a spectacular annual event. The sporting part of 24 Hours of Adrenaline revolves around a massive relay, where solo riders or teams of up to ten people compete to ride as many laps as possible in a 24-Hour time frame.
Join us at the 36th Annual Canmore Folk Music Festival in Centennial Park featuring three days and three stages of folk/roots, blues and world beat from national and international performers. The alcohol-free event includes a global artisan village, food vendor area and family area, as well as a number of free off-site activities.
In 2014, Alberta’s best young athletes will gather in the picturesque Rocky Mountains for the 20th Alberta Winter Games. The communities of Banff and Canmore will jointly host Alberta’s largest multi-sport competition.
Athletes ranging in age from 11 to 17 will compete in traditional winter sports, as well as various indoor sports such as volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics and wrestling. The number of participants is similar to an Olympic Winter Games, with more than 3,000 athletes, coaches and officials taking part.
